SALEM - Lorin Clark scored 18 points - hitting 11 of 12 free throws, including 8 of 8 in the fourth quarter - to lead Minerva to a 44-34 win over Salem on Wednesday.
The win keeps the Lions in contention for the Northeastern Buckeye Conference title.
Minerva stands at 15-4 overall and 9-3 in the NBC, one game behind league-leading West Branch and Louisville. Minerva will host the Warriors on Saturday.
The game stayed close throughout, with Minerva up 12-8 after one, 20-14 at the half and 30-25 heading into the fourth.
The Lions sealed the win at the foul line, going 12-for-14 in the fourth and 15-for-18 for the game.
For Salem, Lindsey Foster had nine points and 15 rebounds, and Katherine Stiff added nine points.
Salem drops to 5-13 overall and 3-9 in the NBC.
The Quakers will travel to Carrollton on Saturday.
