Salem Basketball homecoming is Saturday

SALEM - Salem High School's Basketball Homecoming will be held Saturday during halftime of the varsity game with Minerva. The crowning was postponed last week due to bad weather.

Fish fries planned at Leetonia club

LEETONIA - A fish fry will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today and Feb. 8 at the Leetonia Italian American Club. Carryouts are available by calling 330-427-9900.

East Palestine school board to meet

EAST PALESTINE - East Palestine City School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the EPES media center.

Elkrun trustee meeting planned

ELKRUN TOWNSHIP - Elkrun Township trustees plan to meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 and 19 at the township administration building on state Route 154 east of Lisbon.

Lunch for Goshen Extension scheduled

SALEM - Members of Goshen Home Extension will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. Feb. 8 at the Salem Hills Golf Club.

Valentine pillow boxes to be made in class

SALEM - Valentine pillow boxes will be made during the Getting Crafty class at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Quaker Room at the Salem Public Library. The free class is open to all age 18 and older. All materials are provided. Registration is required at the adult services desk or by calling 330-332-0042.

Commercial Travelers to meet at Perkins

Greenford 1946 lunch planned

GREENFORD - The Greenford High School Class of 1946 plans to meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Salem Hills Golf Club.

Hospital auxiliary meeting scheduled

SALEM - The Salem Community Hospital Auxiliary meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 14 in the small dining room at the back of the hospital cafeteria. The speaker is Patricia Flamino, RN, MSN, of the Salem Area Adult Daycare Center.

Beaver Township Ruritan Club to meet

BEAVER TOWNSHIP - Seventh District Judge Joseph J. Vukovich will speak when the Beaver Township Ruritan Club meets on Feb. 14 at the Paradise Grove Church on New Buffalo Road. Dinner reservations may be made until Feb. 7 by calling Don Swope at 330-788-5655. Cost is $10 per person.

'Beauty of Glass' topic at meeting

COLUMBIANA - Jessica Trickett from the Mahoning Valley Historical Society will present, Form and Function: The Beauty of Glass from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Columbiana Public Library, 332 N. Middle St. This presentation explores ancient and modern glass, glass making techniques and examples of glassware as works of art.
