- A domestic dispute was reported at 8:44 a.m. Wednesday on Hawley Avenue where both parties said there was an argument and the male became angry and knocked over a small book shelf. Both left and agreed to discuss it later.

- Jeannie Greszhaw, of the 800 block of West Perry Street, reported at 8:02 a.m. Wednesday that she placed a sectional couch on her front porch and sometime during the evening hours, someone stole it.

- Patricia Plummer, of the 800 block of East Fourth Street, reported at 8:13 a.m. Wednesday that her vehicle was illegally entered overnight and some cash and cigarettes were taken. The vehicle was locked, but the thieves still made entry.

- Police were asked at 7:36 a.m. Wednesday to assist Perry Township Police with locating a tractor trailer involved in a traffic accident in Perry Township. The vehicle was located on Snyder Road and officers stood by until Perry Township Police arrived.

- A man was found laying near the pop machine in front of a store in the 900 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday and said he was walking to work in Kensington and stopped to take a break. He was given a ride to state Route 9 at the city limits and declined any further assistance.

- Police were called at 1:07 a.m. Wednesday to the 200 block of Vine Avenue for a verbal disagreement between a husband and wife over medication. The woman said there was no problem and the man had already left.

- A caller at 12:23 a.m. Wednesday reported a woman yelling for help in the 800 block of Granite Avenue. Police found a woman and her male friend were intoxicated and trying to get into a relative's house. The mother arrived shortly afterward and let them inside for the night.

- Police responded to a 911 call at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday for a domestic in progress in the 1200 block of Cleveland Street. A woman found near the detached garage at the rear of the residence told officers she and her boyfriend started arguing in the basement and he grabbed her by the hair and around her neck. A chunk of hair was seen on the floor of the residence and the woman had visible injuries to the neck area. Christan L. Weimer, 37, of 1218 Cleveland St., was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence. According to a report filed at 11:21 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue to attempt to locate an open 911 cell phone line with a woman heard pleading for help and begging a man that was refusing to let her leave. Officers went door to door throughout the block and activated sirens in an attempt to locate the source of the call. After checking the area for 30 minutes, the dispatcher advised 911 mapping relocated the source of the call in the 1200 block of Cleveland Street and officers were able to respond and locate the victim.

- A man in the 700 block of West State Street reported at 11:28 p.m. Tuesday that a person came to his residence several times and he does not want him there. An officer planned to contact the person.

- Officers responded to the 200 block of East Third Street for a report at 10:07 p.m. Tuesday of a loud television/video games. They made contact at the apartment where the sound was originating and found the person playing video games. He apologized for the disturbance and promptly reduced the volume.

- Sharon Graley, of the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue, reported at 9:37 p.m. Tuesday that her vehicle was vandalized.

- A woman at Dunkin' Donuts, 855 W. State St., reported at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday that while she was cleaning the men's restroom, she found a bent spoon with some type of residue and burn marks on it. The item was confiscated by police and taken to the police station where it was destroyed.

- A man in the 400 block of West Pershing Street called at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday to report harassment and implied threats by a known male regarding a civil property matter. He traded vehicles with the suspect's wife and now the suspect wants the car back. The suspect allegedly told him if the car was not returned, neither it nor the car the wife took in trade would be in running condition when he got done with them. He wanted it documented.

- Police were called at 7 p.m. Tuesday to the 500 block of Franklin Avenue for a breaking and entering report, which is under investigation. While there, an outstanding warrant from Columbiana County was discovered for Albert L. Baker, 37, of 565 Franklin Ave., who was then taken into custody.

- A woman in the 900 block of Jennings Avenue requested to speak to an officer at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, wanting to know what to do about a man getting his property back from her residence without any problems. A second issue involved texts he was sending her juvenile daughter. She and her daughter came to the station to file statements. The man had called at 5:31 p.m. from East School Street wanting information on how to get his property back.

- Police were called at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday for a parking problem in the area of Jones Drive and Newgarden Avenue. All the vehicles were parked on the south side of the street in Perry Township, apparently for an auction at a township residence in the 900 block of Jones Drive. Perry Township Police were notified, but the vehicles were already leaving.

- An anonymous person dropped off an Ohio temporary tag found in the area of Pizza Hut at 4:23 p.m. Tuesday. The registered owner will be notified.

- A man in the 800 block of West State Street met with an officer at 2:18 p.m. Tuesday with some general questions regarding his business. The matters are to be forwarded to the prosecutor's office to determine if they are civil or criminal.
