Preservation Society’s First Ladies visit East Liverpool middle school

The Salem Preservation Society's First Ladies recently made a special appearance at Westgate Middle School in East Liverpool when they entertained over 100 fifth-graders. Pictured are, from left, Arlene Schwartz, (Mrs. John Adams), Barbara Schwab (Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt) and JeanAlice Fehr (Mrs. Rutherford B. Hayes) who reenact the lives of various First Ladies in their presentations to schools, organizations and church groups. They cover a wide range of topics from Christmas in the White House to the White House during the war years. The group has members that span the history of the Presidency from George Washington to Lyndon Baines Johnson. The First Ladies are available for engagements from 20 minutes to an hour.
