NEGLEY - Victor E. Hauenstein, 68, of state Route 170, died at 8:57 p.m., Saturday at his home following a recent illness.
Mr. Hauenstein was born April 29, 1944 in Rogers, a son of the late Floyd and Mary Ada (Houser) Hauenstein.
He worked as a truck driver for many years with the Ferris Coal Company.
His wife, Nancy (Hughes) Hauenstein, whom he married June 26, 1963, preceded him in death on Dec. 23, 2012.
He is survived by his son, Mark (Amy) Hauenstein of Prescott, WI; daughter, Tracy Wright of Negley; brothers, Donald Hauenstein and Wayne Gerber, both of East Palestine; sisters, Sandy Galbreath of Rogers, Joyce Huston of Kent, Washington and Ruby Morris of Renton, Wash.; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Victor was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy S. Frederick.
The family will receive friends at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine, from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with the service to be held at the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. Randy Clark officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
