- A Steubenville Pike, Wayne Township, man reported Thursday someone from State Farm Insurance called about an accident he supposedly had in Cleveland. Joy said he was never in Cleveland or in an accident. He was told to contact his insurance company and the police department where the accident supposedly occurred to straighten this out.

-Rebecca Simpson, state Route 7, Columbiana, reported Thursday she believes Charity A. Riggs stole a check from her house after she let her stay overnight and then filled it out in the amount of $175 and cashed it. Simpson said she let Riggs stay overnight because she did not have anywhere else to go.
