SALEM - Peggy P. Barnhart, 93, of Salem, Ohio, died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 14, 1919, in Salineville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry and Iva (Goddard) Hines.
Peggy was a graduate of Salineville High School and had been a deli manager for Giant Eagle in Michigan. She lived in the Salem area for the past 40 years.
Her husband, Charles K. (Kenny) Barnhart, preceded her in death in 1974. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, John Hiem, Clarence Hines, Paul Hines and Frederick Hines; and two sisters, Helen Hull and Floretta Hull.
Survivors include two nieces, Judy Nickalo of Salineville and Debra Higgins of Salem; and two nephews, Larry Hull of Texas and Randy Hiem of Columbus, Ohio.
A private graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva.
