AAA Driving School class set in Salem

SALINEVILLE - The Southern Local Board of Education's special meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the administrative office.

Show Choir Fest set Thursday at United

HANOVERTON - The eighth annual Show Choir Festival begins at 7 p.m. Thursday in the United Local High School auditorium. Show choirs from East Canton, Malvern, Salem and Struthers will join United's Flight for this annual celebration of music. Admission is $5 at the door.

SCH?auxiliary book fair planned

SALEM - Salem Community Hospital Auxiliary's Book Fair, which features a large selection of premium quality books and seasonal items at discount prices, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the hospital's private dining room. Proceeds will benefit the SCH Auxiliary, which supports patient services and programs at the hospital. For more information call 330-332-7126.

Fish fry offered at Columbiana Legion

COLUMBIANA - An all-you-can-eat fish fry will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at American Legion Post 290. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children.

Health fair set at WellnessOne

SALEM - The Supplement Station and Dr. Jim Mussler, owner of WellnessOne, will hold a free community wide health fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Supplement Station, 1139 Pidgeon Road.

Free health checks that day include spine and scoliosis check and free bone density scans for women. There will be special pricing, door prizes, samples and tasty healthy snacks on hand. Comprehensive blood testing is also available for a discounted fee. An appointment and fasting is required for blood testing. Fish fry planned in Washingtonville

WASHINGTONVILLE - The public is invited to a fish fry from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Washingtonville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5532. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday. Carryouts for both meals are available by calling 330-427-2533.

Waterford Lions offer roast beef dinner

NEW WATERFORD - New Waterford Lions will hold its all-you-can-eat roast beef dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Crestview High School. Meals include dessert. SALEM - Salem Community Hospital's Relay for Life team is sponsoring a pepperoni roll sale now through March 29. Pepperoni rolls are $3 each, and orders can be placed by calling the oncology department at 330-332-7672. All orders will be available for pick up on April 5. Proceeds from the sale benefit the American Cancer Society's research and prevention programs.

Career Center seeks Fame nominations

LISBON - Former students from the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center will be honored at the Wall of Fame induction ceremony held in conjunction with the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 21. Nominees must be a high school graduate, have completed a vocational program at CCCTC, have been out of school a minimum of 10 years, and been employed in their vocational field of study or a related field.

To nominate a candidate, complete a form available at CCCTC and return it to the school no later than April 15. Selections will be based on nominations and information received from friends, family and the individual nominated.
