LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court Tuesday a charge of violating a temporary protection order against Joseph R. Gross, 42, Garfield Avenue, East Palestine, was dismissed. He had been charged after he showed up at the scene of a crash, when his wife, whom there was an order forbidding him from being near called him to pick up the children.

Russell D. Lightner, 33, Foundry Hill Road, Salineville, was fined $950, had his license suspended for six months and was sentenced to six days in jail for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and failure to display a valid sticker.

Nichole L. Phillips, 19, Lincoln Street, Salem, was fined $705, had her license suspended for six month, was required to perform 30 hours of community service and sentenced to three days in jail for OVI first offense and a traffic control device violation.

William J. Martin, 40, Clarks Mill Road, Hammondsville, was fined $200, sentenced to three days in jail and required 50 hours community service for driving under a 12-point suspension.

Erica L. Thomas, 34, Elkton Road, Lisbon, was fined $150 and required 40 hours community service for hit skip on private property. An improper passing citation was dismissed.

Jason C. Sorrentino, 28, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and required 40 hours community service for receiving stolen property for having a bicycle in his possession after it was reported stolen.

Kenneth J. Boso, 38, Yeager Road, East Liverpool, was fined $130 for speeding and no license amended from driving under suspension.

Bennie L. Funderburg Jr., East Third Street, Salem, was fined $100 for lighted lights required amended from failure to control.

Casey J. Smith, 30, Toronto, was fined $100 for no license amended from driving under suspension.

Miquel G. Moreno, 30, Ellwood City, Pa., was fined $150 and had his license suspended for six months for drug abuse for a marijuana joint.

Jonathan J. Hutchens, 37, Wadsworth, was fined $100 for commercial speeding.

An April 2 pretrial was set for Courtney L. Cook, 19, 14th Street, Wellsville, cited with driving under suspension, lane violation and a seat belt violation.

An April 4 pretrial was set for Timothy W. Good, 19, Kirk Road, Columbiana, charged with OVI first offense and traffic control devices.

An April 16 pretrial was set for Chase Murphy Grogg, 22, South Main Street, Columbiana, charged with OVI first offense and speeding.

An April 23 pretrial was set for Jack J. Marshall II, 45, West Salem Street, Columbiana, charged with OVI first offense and traffic control devices.

A May 23 pretrial was set for Brian R. Fetty Jr., 31, Girard, cited with driving under suspension.
