LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Thursday, an April 4 preliminary hearing was set for Christopher P. Jennings Jr., 19, West Middletown Road, Salem, charged with possession of drugs for allegedly having two clear pill capsules with white powdery residue which tested positive for methylenedioxymethcathinone, along with other items which tested positive for marijuana.
James F. Rogers, 51, Woodville Road, Leetonia, was fined $1,225, sentenced to 75 days in jail and had his license suspended for two years for OVI first offense, failure to reinstate a license and failure to display a valid sticker.
Adam J. Blackwood, 23, West Calla Road, Salem, was fined $725, had his license suspended for 180 days, sentenced to 20 days in jail and required 50 hours community service for failure to control and physical control amended from OVI first offense.
Shaylynn R. Hertel, 23, Major Road, Minerva, was fined $705, had his license suspended for 180 days and was sentenced to 20 days in jail for OVI first offense and marked lanes.
Jordan L. Smeltzer, 26, Depot Road, Lisbon, was fined $350 and sentenced to 10 days in jail for aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct while intoxicated. Court documents state Smelters cut Lori Anderson off in traffic on two occasions. Both times he exited his vehicle, approached her car and yelled at her to get out. He also followed her up a driveway at a Depot Road address, approaching the side of her vehicle and pounding on the window while yelling obscenities at her.
Mathew V. Tomsha, 62, Benton Road, Salem, was fined $350 and required 30 hours community service for hit skip and failure to control.
Denise K. McQuiston, 49, West Pine Lake Road, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension amended from driving under OVI suspension.
Heather R. Moore, 39, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, was fined $200 and had her license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana and open container.
Donald E. White, 56, Mattix Road, Lisbon, was fined $200 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Cade A. Neiser, 18, West Calla Road, Salem, was fined $180 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension and failure to control.
Daniel K. Duncan, 34, Haiti Road, Salineville, was fined $150, credited with three days served in jail and required 10 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence. A criminal damaging charge and three additional counts of domestic violence were dismissed. Duncan was accused of becoming angry with his family, assaulting them and breaking electronic devices in the house while intoxicated on Dec. 8.
Michele Hahn, 41, last known address East Sixth Street, Salem, was fined $150 for abandoning an animal amended from prohibitions concerning companion animals after leaving three cats and a turtle inside a home when she moved away.
Mandy R. Bowyer, 23, West Clark Street, East Palestine, was fined $150 and sentenced to one day in jail for theft for taking a gold and diamond engagement ring from the home of Joy Dunlap, West Clark Street, on Dec. 29.
Johnathan A. Easton, 42, Glenview Drive, Canfield, was fined $150 for speeding.
Edward Cline Jr., 40, Independence Square, Wellsville, was fined $130 for no license, reckless operation and left of center.
Allen W. Lippiatt, 27, Youngstown, was fined $100 for one way traffic. A driving with a temporary permit without a licensed driver citation was dismissed.
An April 1 pretrial was set for Forest T. Davis Jr., 25, Peace Valley Road, East Palestine, charged with assault for alleged actions toward one of his caregivers.
An April 1 pretrial was set for Andrew H. Hunley, 37, state Route 558, Leetonia, charged with criminal mischief and domestic violence. Court documents allege Hunley kicked the screen out of a big screen television, punched several holes in the plastered walls and threatened to break the skull of Jessica Jewell, the mother of his children.
An April 4 pretrial was set for Nicole E. Gamble, 26, North Lima, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching her ex-boyfriend Dominic D. Stacey in the mouth, followed by several other punches and the breaking of a necklace he was wearing while he was at the Way Station, Springfield Road, Columbiana.
An April 8 pretrial was set for Nicole M. Hague, 40, Riverside Avenue, Wellsville, charged with cruelty to animals and abandoning animals for allegedly dropping an unwanted dog inside a fenced area at another person's home.
An April 25 pretrial was set for Delores Brown, 47, Williamsport, Pa., cited with speeding.
A May 6 pretrial was set for Lynn A. Brown, 53, Washington Street, Washingtonville, charged with OVI first offense and marked lanes.
A May 7 pretrial was set for Tracie L. Taylor, 41, West Perry Street, Salem, charged with OVI second offense and lane violations.
