Man pleads guilty to drug possession

LISBON - Terryl L. Thomas, 46, South Euclid, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to possession of drugs. According to court documents he was found in the possession of 450 grams of marijuana during a traffic stop on state Route 11 on June 3. He faces up to 12 months in prison, a five year license suspension and a $2,500 fine. Sentencing is set for June 6.

Robert G. Weyand, 41, Clark Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. Court documents claim he grabbed the mother of his child by the head and pulled clumps of hair from her scalp last Oct. 3. Court documents also state he has previous domestic violence convictions in December 1999, November 1997, April 1996, October 1997 and February 1998. He faces up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Sentencing is set for June 6.
