SALEM- Alice G. Kendrick, 97, of Austintown, a former Salem resident, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the Victoria House in Austintown.
She was born June 25, 1915, in Salem, a daughter of the late Harry and Veronica (Graff) Hertz. Alice retired form General Motors where she worked as an office clerk. She attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Austintown and was a former member of Saint Paul Catholic Church in Salem.
Her husband, Charles E. Kendrick, whom she married June 2, 1956, preceded her in death on March 11, 1962.
Survivors include two sons, Donald (Donna) Kendrick of Salem and Charles (Brenda) Kendrick of Lawton, Okla.; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Gertrude Hertz, Viola Waldron, Marie Dean, Kathryn Mundy and Allene Wagner; and two brothers, Joseph and Robert Hertz.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Steve Wassie officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Salem. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home in Salem.
