WASHINGTONVILLE - Mattie Hart Hanners, 88, of West Main Street, died at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.
Born Sept. 4, 1924 in Oak Hill, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Marion and Susie (Clay) Wright.
Mrs. Hanners had been employed as an office manager for the former Insul Company in East Palestine for 35 years.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Hanners, whom she married July 23, 1983; a daughter, Joyce (Charles) Doll of East Palestine; a son, Roger (Gwen) Hart of Storm Lake, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Deborah (Gordon) Buckner of Mineral Ridge; a stepson, Dennis (Deborah) Hanners of Indian Mound, Tenn.; two sisters, Myrtle Black of Ostrander and Joyce (Bill) Hague of Gahanna; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
No services will be held. Burial will be in the Glenview Cemetery.
