Leetonia school board OKs personnel changes

LEETONIA- The Leetonia school board Thursday night approved several personnel contracts and accepted multiple donations.

The board approved for the 2013-2014 school year one-year limited contracts for Lisa Besozzi, Kathy Buck, Sandra Mitchell, Megan McLaughlin, Kimberly Saculla, Trevor Greenfield and Josie Arditi; and two-year limited contracts Randy Rodik, William Altenhof, Joe Bruderly and Halley Fast.

The board also accepted donations of $100 from Custom Pre Fab Contractors Inc., $100 from HV Contractors Inc. and the Washingtonville VFW for the weight room project; $50 from the Leetonia Lodge for the Easter Egg Hunt; $376.94 from the Columbiana County Prosecutor for the Leetonia D.A.R.E. program; $242 from the American Legion for the girls basketball championship t-shirts; $100 from Attorney Walter C. Newton Jr. for the Track Supplemental Fund; $1,000 from Paul & Dawn Rance for the Rance Family Scholarship; $3,000 for the Leetonia Ruritan Club Scholarship; and $1,000 for the Leetonia Salem Township Historical Society Scholarship.

Also at the meeting the board approved the request for Mary Rice, guidance counselor, for 10 extended days for the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year and granted permission for Band Director Randy Rodik to begin exploration of a Leetonia Marching Band trip to Florida in February of 2015.

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. May 23 in Room 20 of the K-12 campus.
