GOSHEN TOWNSHIP- The victim in a state Route 534 house fire over the weekend died from smoke inhalation, according to preliminary results of an autopsy.

Justin Kidd, 20, appears to have died from smoke inhalation with no trauma present, Mahoning County Coroner's Investigator Rick Jamrozik said Monday. The state fire marshal's office continues to investigate the blaze and has not yet determined a cause.

Damascus firefighters responded to the Kidd home at 12061 S. Pricetown Road at 11:45 p.m. Saturday where three other family members had escaped from the first floor. Kidd was found in the single-story home's basement where the fire could be seen upon arrival.

A full obituary for Justin Kidd appears on Page 3B.
