BELOIT - Gary Raymond Boals, 77, of Beloit, passed away on May 1, 2013.
Mr. Boals was a tool and die maker and a retiree of Tru-Cut Inc. He was also a real estate agent and graduate of Youngstown State University. He enjoyed relaxing at his favorite fishing hole, teaching violin and guitar, create works of art with his talent for carpentry, going to baseball games, watching football and cheering for the Irish. But his happiest times were spent with his family, sharing traditions and enjoying the finer things in life. He illustrated the true meaning of strength by his hard work and dedication to his family, being a 25-year survivor of a rare cancer and always standing up for what he knew to be right and good in the eyes of God. He was a devout Catholic and raised his family by the Golden Rule, which he demonstrated every day of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Opal; eldest son, James of Deerfield; his eldest daughter, Ellen DeMaiolo and husband Albert of Salem; his son, Gary of Salem; his daughter, Elizabeth Cadile and husband Sam of Salem; his granddaughter, Lindsay DeMaiolo of Salem; grandsons, Tim, James and Tom of Beloit; granddaughters, Kaylin and Aphdin Cadile of Salem; and grandson, Andrew, and granddaughter, Camille of Salem; and only sister, Margaret Hively of Sebring.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call the hour prior to the services.
