LISBON - William D. Hively Jr., 42, Woodland Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to two counts of trafficking in drugs and was sentenced to five years intensive supervised probation. According to court documents, Hively had crack cocaine in his possession on both July 12 and July 27 in 2011.
A charge against Latoya L. Monteiro, 24, last known address Mapletree Street, East Liverpool, was dismissed. She had been charged with failure notify the sheriff of her address as a Tier III sexual offender in March. However, Monteiro was also convicted of the same offense in Common Pleas Court last month and sentenced to three years in prison. That charge was for failing to register in December 2008.
A charge of sexual battery against Ricky E. Wright Jr., 33, Cadmus Street, East Liverpool, was dismissed after he was indicted on similar charges by the grand jury in April. In a different case, Wright now faces both a sexual battery and a rape charge for allegedly compelling someone he was related to or custodian of to participate in sexual conduct, utilizing force or the threat of force.
Christopher M. Hamrick, 30, Youngstown, who was convicted following a January jury trial for receiving stolen property, has filed an appeal of the conviction and sentencing. Hamrick was sentenced in April to 16 months in prison for having a dirt bike belonging to Ryan McCoy in his possession on Jan. 24.
