LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a possession of drugs charge against Chealsea Cope, 35, Hookstown, Pa., was dismissed on a motion of the assistant county prosecutor so the facts of the case may be directly presented to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury. Cope is accused of having a plate with two "cut" red straws and a white pill, which tested positive for opiates in her possession on April 24 when New Waterford police went to a Silliman Street home to take her into custody on a warrant. The warrant was due to Cope reportedly failing one drug test at Municipal Court on April 18 and failing to appear for another one on April 22.

Heather R. Moore, 39, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, was fined $900, had her license suspended for one year and sentenced to 20 days in jail for OVI second offense and marked lanes.

Robert E. Sillitoe Jr., 56, Warren, was fined $500, had his license suspended for six months, was sentenced to three days in jail and required 30 hours community service for physical control amended from OVI first offense.

Jarred Knepper, 30, Benton Road, Salem, was fined $325, had his license suspended for 180 days and sentenced to five days in jail for hit skip, driving under suspension and failure to control following a crash on Jan. 19 in Salem.

Craig K. Smith, 19, East state Route 14, Columbiana, was fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from underage consumption.

Dana L. Bentfeld, 47, Enon Valley, Pa., was fined $200, required 30 hours community service and sentenced to 12 additional days in jail while credited with eight already served for theft. Bentfeld reportedly took both a bottle of acetaminophen pain reliever and a bottle of sleep aid and placed them in her purse without paying at Rite Aid in East Palestine.

Chad L. Reynolds, 37, Birch Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from commercial speeding.

Randy L. Koon, 49, Chester, W.Va., was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from speeding.

Michael A. Kane, 24, Pearl Street, Leetonia, was fined $100 for failure to display a license plate amended from speeding.

A June 11 pretrial was set for Travis S. Miller, 29, Laredo Drive, Negley, cited with failure to control and a seat belt violation.
