Johnna Tsesmilles and Michael C. Abdalla Jr. were united in marriage on March 16 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Steubenville. The celebration and blessing of marriage was officiated by Monsignor Gerald Calovini and assisted by Deacon William George, the bridegroom's cousin.
The bride is the daughter of Debra Tsesmilles of Salineville (escorted by son Joel Tsesmilles). The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Cecilia Abdalla of Hammondsville.
Escorted to the altar by her brother, Theodore Tsesmilles, the bride wore a diamond white chiffon gown that featured a ruched, asymmetrical draped overlay accented by sparkling crystals and accessorized by a diamond cross necklace, which was a gift from the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of white lilies accented by red calla lilies.
Melissa Baker, the bride's sister, served as matron of honor and Angela Guildoo was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kayla Baker and Kylie Baker, the bride's cousins; McKenna Boals, the bride's niece; Charlene Borgelt; Taylor Brown, the bride's daughter; Alicia Hawkins, the bridegroom's sister; Tedra Tsesmilles, the bride's sister; and Whitney Tsesmilles, the bride's sister-in-law. They wore black satin cocktail dresses and carried bouquets of red lilies.
Maddy Tsesmilles, the bride's niece; and Grace Hawkins, godchild/niece of the bridgroom, were flower girls wearing gowns of white satin carrying matching baskets with red petals.
Michael Espinoza and Buck Banovsky served as the best men. Groomsmen were Gabe Andreozzi, Justin Board, Wesley Crawford, Bradley Gruszecki, the bridegroom's cousin; Christopher Hawkins, the bridegroom's brother-in-law; Phillip Jordan, George Potkrajac and John Zeigler. The ring bearer was Brody Brown, the bride's son.
Readings were given by Thomas Abdalla, the bridegroom's uncle; Joseph Abdalla, the bridegroom's, uncle; and Joseph Luckino, the bridegroom's cousin.
Gifts were presented by the bridegroom's godfather and uncle, Frank Gruszecki; and Aunt Carmella Menendez. Programs were distributed by Kirsten Gosselin.
The vocalist was Mary Ann Crawford, the bridegroom's aunt. Organist was Joseph G. Zamberlan.
A rehearsal dinner and family celebration was hosted by the bridegroom's parents on the eve of the wedding at Abdalla's Steakhouse in Stratton.
The reception was held at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville. Singer Joel Smith entertained during cocktails and dinner while Johnathan Mihellis, A Cut Above, provided music for the evening.
The bride is employed by the U.S. Postal Service.
The bridegroom is co-owner of M & A Concrete.
They reside in Hammondsville and will honeymoon in 2014.
