Hanoverton man pleads guilty to assault on brother

LISBON - In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, Travis A. Whaley, 42, Hillview Drive, Hanoverton, pleaded guilty to assault, amended from felonious assault. He faces up to 180 days in the county jail and a $1,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 2. Court documents state he stabbed his brother, Walter Whaley, with a knife wounding his arm, abdomen and back on Aug. 31, 2012.
