LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday, Alex D.M. Cook, 19, Millrock Road, New Waterford, was sentenced to 90 days in jail consecutive with time he is serving on an underage consumption charge for criminal damaging. Cook reportedly intentionally broke a sprinkler head in a cell at the county jail, which flooded the cell block area and cost $1,252 in damages and fire department coverage.
Benjamin J. Goins, 28, Wooster, was fined $1,700, had his license suspended for 24 months, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and required 50 hours community service for OVI second offense, driving under suspension, failure to control, failure to comply and obstructing official business for fleeing on foot into the woods from the scene of a crash.
Francisco Tino Lopez, Cedar Ridge Road, Salem, was fined $350 and required 25 hours community service for no license.
Cody P. Rowland, 20, North Market Street, East Palestine, was fined $250 and required 30 hours community service for underage prohibition.
Lisa J. Volio, 56, Cherry Valley Drive, Leetonia, was fined $200, had her license suspended for six months and required 30 hours community service for two counts of possession of drugs for acetaminophen, hydrocodone and marijuana found in her vehicle on Friday.
Michael A. McCauley, 35, Lisbon Street, Wellsville, was fined $150 for no license amended from non-resident violator compact.
Michael N.S. Gibson, 24, Darner Road, Lisbon, was fined $150 for criminal trespassing for going into the Salem Walmart on Wednesday after he had been ordered in January 2008 not to return to any Walmart stores.
Lawrence Jose Hammer IV, 29, no known address, was fined $100 and credited with five days served for railroad vandalism/criminal trespassing. According to court documents, Hammer was on Norfolk Southern Railroad property near the James Street intersection on May 15, when a fire was started to a mattress and other debris along the tracks.
William E. Fulmer Jr., 37, Gladys Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $100 and required 50 hours community service for driving under FRA suspension.
Jacob M. Peters, 33, Depot Road, Salem, was fined $100 for driving under FRA suspension.
A May 23 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for William VanDyke II, 48, state Route 45, Wellsville, charged with driving without a valid license and felony charges of criminal trespassing and two counts domestic violence. Court documents allege VanDyke was arguing with Shelda Allgood while riding the trails in Rose Bud Mining of state Route 45. He reportedly got back into the vehicle and drove away while she was grabbing for the cooler on the back of the vehicle. According to a witness, Allgood was reportedly dragged until she fell off then VanDyke drove away.
A May 28 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for David J. Murphy, 22, Westville Lake Road, Beloit, cited with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly refusing on Sunday to cooperate with police after he was found lying face down on the ground, getting into the face of an employee Club Fuel, yelling obscene phrases and head butting a Salem police officer, Patrolman Brandon Smith.
A May 28 pretrial was set for Eric S. McFarland, 34, Grant Street, Lisbon, cited wit possession of prescription pills.
A May 30 pretrial was set for Douglas L. Smith, 41, Vine Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking his wife in the face.
A June 3 pretrial was set for Shaun A. Gates, 31, Bandy Road, Homeworth, charged with domestic violence, assault and obstructing official business for allegedly fighting with his live-in girlfriend on Monday, running and hiding in the woods and grabbing a man who was providing police with a statement.
A June 10 pretrial was set for De'shon G. Pullie, charged with menacing, assault, aggravated menacing and two counts criminal damaging. According to court documents, Pullie reportedly was breaking items in the home belonging to Sanna Surace, broke a lamp post in the Meadow Wood Apartments, kicked and dented Surace's car door, punched Surace in the nose and told her if she did not return he would kill her and destroy her apartment.
A June 20 pretrial was set for Tracy L. Beiling, 44, Washington Street, Salem, cited with OVI first offense and marked lanes.
A June 24 pretrial was set for Jordan L. Smeltzer, 26, Depot Road, Lisbon, cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly being belligerent and screaming at about 11:37 p.m. Saturday while he was intoxicated in Salem.
A June 27 pretrial was set for Ronald L. Odroneic, 60, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, cited for OVI first offense and lane violation.
A June 27 pretrial was set for Jason A. Bohl, 35, New Richmond, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.
A July 23 pretrial was set for Walter W. Wright, 31, Campbell, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.
