SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Richard Twing Seeds, 90, died on May 19 at his home in Scottsdale.
He was born in Salem, and raised by parents Guy Twing Seeds and Lucille Feezel Seeds.
Mr. Seeds entered the Army and then transferred to the United States Air Force. He was a World War II veteran, with over 21 years of military service. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for over 25 years at the Defense Construction Supply Center in Columbus.
His first wife, Doris Paxson Seeds, preceded him in 1990, after 44 years of marriage. His second wife, Margaret McFarland Seeds, preceded him in 2012, after 17 years of marriage.
His son, Robert Seeds, died in 2009.
Survivors include a son, Richard T. Seeds II (Pam) of Circleville; two daughters, Gayla Seeds of Pataskala, Ohio, and Marla McGhee (David) of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; a stepson, David McFarland (Donna) of Dayton, Ohio; and stepdaughter Maureen McFarland of Charlotte, N.Ca.
A graveside service, with full military honors, begins at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hope Cemetery in Salem.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, Ariz. 85014.
Arrangements were handled by the Stark Memorial Funeral Home of Salem.
