SALINEVILLE - John W. Wilson, 66, of state Route 164 died early Thursday morning at East Liverpool City Hospital.
He was born Oct. 22, 1946, in East Liverpool, a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Palmer Wilson.
He had lived all his life in the area and served in the U.S. Army in Thailand. He was Presbyterian by faith. He retired as an inspector from National Refractories.
He is survived by his companion off 30 plus years, Jean Culp; two daughters, Lisa Velasquez of Galveston, Texas, and Holly (Larry) Morris of Glen Rock, Pa.; a sister, Janet Dowling of Salineville; and three grandchildren.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home in Salineville with Pastor Ted Ludwig of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville where full military honors will be accorded by the Salineville American Legion John Adams Post 442.
Family and friends may call at the Kerr-Pastore Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
