Former Hanoverton man killed in crash

HANOVERTON - A 49-year-old man originally from Hanoverton was killed in a motorcycle accident in Tennessee this week.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Calvin W. Stiffler was westbound on Interstate 40 in Humphreys County at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday when the accident occurred.

Stiffler was driving a 1991 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and attempting to get off the 137 exit when the bike struck loose gravel on the left side of the ramp. He then struck the end of the guardrail and the bike came down off the left shoulder of ramp, according to the report.

He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, Tenn..

Originally from Hanoverton, he was most recently living in Conway, Ark.
