SALEM - Maxine Roberts, 78, of Lisbon, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 5, 1934 in Lisbon, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Ewing) Liggitt.
Maxine worked at the Columbiana County Court House, as a billing clerk for the commissioners for 24 years. She had also worked at Tenco Supply and sold Avon for 24 years.
Maxine enjoyed gardening and loved her two cats, Fluff and Toby.
Survivors include a son, Brian (Pam) Roberts of Columbiana; daughters, Nancy (Thom) Thompson of Minerva, Joanne (Dennis) Sidwell of Salem, Sandy (Sid) Weber of Lisbon, and Karen (Rick) Simpson of Negley; sisters, Delores (Kenny) Morris of Barberton, Linda Mahoney of Spring, Texas, and Judy (Bill) Chappel of Medina; brothers, Jack (Betty) Liggitt of North Jackson, Jerry (Diane) Liggitt of Lisbon and Fred (Linda) Liggitt of Salem; sister-in-law, Mary-Ellen Liggitt; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Don Liggitt.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Cusick officiating.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Lisbon Cemetery.
