M. Alpheus Rohrer

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - M. Alpheus Rohrer, 90, of North Manchester, died at 9:15 p.m. Dec. 26, 2012, at Wabash County Hospital in Wabash, Ind.

He was born Jan. 10, 1922, on a farm near North Lima, son of Samuel E. and Mary (Martin) Rohrer.

Mr. Rohrer was a farmer and taught physics and chemistry for 34 years, retiring in 1988 from South Range High School in North Lima. He was a member of the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren in Columbiana.

Survivors include his wife, the former Alice Rupel, whom he married on July 1, 1950; four children, Stanley (Drema) Rohrer of Beavercreek, Ohio, Edith Rohrer of Warsaw, Ind., Thelma (James Adams) Rohrer of North Manchester, Ind., and Norman (Melinda) Rohrer of San Jose, Calif.; and four grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. July 7 at Zion Hill Church of the Brethren,14550 New Buffalo Road, Columbiana, Ohio. Pastor David Wyant will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery, Columbiana, Ohio.

Arrangements were handled by McKee Mortuary in North Manchester, Ind.
