SALEM - Frederick William Koenreich Jr., 85, of Salem, died at 8:34 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the Salem Community Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born March 22, 1928, in Salem, son of the late Frederick William Sr. and Minnie (Sechler) Koenreich.
Fred was a 1946 graduate of Salem High School, 1952 graduate of Wittenburg University, a member of the Holy Trinity English Lutheran Church and a member of the Salem Elks Lodge #305.
Before his retirement, he had been employed at Farmers Bank, which became known as Bank One, for 21 years retiring as vice president. He had previously been employed at Electric Furnace as a controller, Mangus Farms, and served with the U.S. Army.
His wife, Nancy (Emch) Koenreich, whom he married Dec. 27, 1953, survives him along with daughters, Peggy (Don) Kleinhenz of Powell, Ohio, Sue (Patrick) Raney of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., and Liz (Tim) Ruh of Lyndsey, Ohio; grandchildren, Lyndsey Kohler, Laura Raney, Emily Kleinhenz and Andrew Ruh.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Holy Trinity English Lutheran Church with Pastor Connie Sassanella officiating.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church and an Elks Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to calling hours. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
