LISBON - Charles E. Walker, 24, McKinnon Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to assault, a fourth degree felony, and to a misdemeanor resisting arrest charge.

Court documents state on Oct. 24, 2012, Walker attempted to harm East Liverpool patrolman Fred Flati and while attempting to avoid arrest injured patrolman Greg Smith as well.

He faces up to two years in prison and a $6,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 16.
