Winona United Methodist Bible school set

WINONA - All children, ages 3 through going into seventh grade, are invited to vacation Bible school at the Winona United Methodist Church titled "Kingdom Rock: Where Kids Stand Strong for God." Classes are scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 15-19 (including supper) at the Winona United Methodist Church, 32114 Winona Road. Activities include Bible stories, crafts, science fun, Bible songs, etc. To register call 330-222-1211.

Ice cream social set at Grace Lutheran

EAST PALESTINE - An ice cream social will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. July 20 at Grace Lutheran Church, 87 W. Grant St. Homemade ice cream, pies, sandwiches, baked beans, macaroni salad and beverages will be served. Proceeds from the ice cream social will go to the improvement and maintenance fund. There also will be a drawing for a handknit shawl.

Greenford Lutheran plans Bible school

GREENFORD - This year's vacation Bible school program sponsored by the Greenford Lutheran Church is titled "Kingdom Rock: Where Kids Stand Strong for God."

Classes will be held, free of charge, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 29 through Aug. 2 at Coy Park, located on Route 165, one mile west of Greenford.

Registration will be taken from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on the first night. Donations will be accepted daily for the American Red Cross organization.

Banquet in Salem features roasted chicken

SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. The sponsor is Salem Community Hospital. The menu offers roasted chicken quarters, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, fresh veggies and dip, fresh fruit and strawberry shortcake. Additional sponsors are needed. Boy Scout troop to host Big Back Yard

SALEM - Salem First Presbyterian Church's Big Back Yard program will be hosted by Boy Scout Troop #3 from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. This free program is open to the public and will take place rain or shine. There will be food and fun for all ages.

Vacation Bible school set Sunday evenings

SALEM - The Phillips Christian Church is hosting vacation Bible school from 6 to 8 p.m. every Sunday in July. VBS is free and open to all children in pre-kindergarten to sixth grade.
