Charlotte R. Kale

BERLIN CENTER - Services celebrating the life of Charlotte Kale, 74, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church.

Charlotte was born July 28, 1939 in Eau Claire, Pa. the daughter of Paul O. and Beryl D. (Montgomery) Hovis.

Charlotte was an active member of Mt. Moriah Church serving on many boards throughout the years. She was very active in the "Boxes of Love" Outreach program. Her greatest joy in life was watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports. She loved to cook and was a fantastic cookie maker.

Charlotte was proud to receive her GED certificate at the age of 49. She retired as a cook from Western Reserve Middle School in 1996 and had formerly worked for Electronic Cord in North Jackson.

She will be sadly missed by her mother, Beryl; husband Myron L. Kale, whom she married Dec. 31, 1955; children William L. (Debra) Kale of Salem, Donna (Richard) Allison of North Jackson, Mary (Mark) Geisler of Canfield and Larry (Elizabeth) Kale of North Jackson; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters Marion Yaratch of Deerfield, Laree Munger of Ravenna, and Peggy Reis of Lake Milton; and a brother, Timothy Hovis of Diamond.

She was preceded in death by her father and brothers Larry and Robert Hovis.

Family and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and from 10 -11 a.m. Tuesday at the church prior to services.

The Kale family asks that memorial contributions be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church general fund or Gleaners Food bank in Charlotte's memory.
