Richard Lee "Mutt" Kleinman
SALEM - Richard Lee "Mutt" Kleinman, 83, of Salem, died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born June 18, 1930 in Salem, a son of the late Dennis and Isabelle (Englert) Kleinman.
Mr. Kleinman was a 1948 Salem High School graduate and had been employed at Eljer Company for 25 years. He had previously worked at the Smith Township Garage and had been a bartender. "Mutt" served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was an avid fisherman.
He was a member of the Salem AMVETS Post #45, Salem V.F.W. # 892, and the Slovak Club. He was also a member of the Salem Honor Guard for 30 years.
Survivors include four sons, Richard, Eric, Shane and Dennis Kleinman; four sisters, Isabelle Cibula of Salem, Coletta Sneddon of Salem, Mary Henley of Salem and Teresa Patrick of Salem; several grandchildren and several nephews.
Preceding him in death was a grandson, Dustin Kleinman; two brothers, Dennis and James Kleinman; and a sister, Donna Kleinman.
Memorial services will be held by the Salem Honor Guard at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at the Salem AMVETS Post #45, 750 South Broadway Ave., Salem.
There are no calling hours. Arrangements were handled by the Stark Memorial Funeral Home.
