LISBON - Zac M. Graham, 28, Franklin Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty to domestic violence in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court in May and was sentenced last week to six months in prison. On May 27, 2012, Graham reportedly harmed Ashley Graham, his wife, by holding a knife, grabbing her by the neck, choking her and ordering her to leave the apartment. Additionally, he shoved her into a mirror, pushed her into a bathtub causing her to strike her head and choking her a second time.
Robert J. McLaughlin Jr., 53, Columbiana County Jail, pleaded guilty to failure to notify the sheriff of his change of address. According to court documents, McLaughlin failed to alert deputies of his residence in February as he is required to do following a gross sexual imposition conviction in 2001. Additionally, McLaughlin has two previous convictions in 2011 and 2009 for failure to verify his address. He faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 13.
Timothy A. Gault, 31, Dillonvale, was found in violation to his probation on a previous breaking and entering conviction. He was sentenced to an additional 60 days in the county jail.
Travis A. Whaley, 42, Hillview Drive, Hanoverton, was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail, but credited with 105 days. The remaining 75 days were suspended. Whaley had pleaded guilty to assault for stabbing his brother, Walter Whaley, with a kitchen knife during a dispute between them on Aug. 31, 2012.
Marquaela L. Cousart, 24, Youngstown, was sentenced to three years probation, including one of intense supervision for trafficking in drugs. Cousart had cocaine in his possession in the vicinity of a school on Nov. 21, 2011.
