-The fire department responded to a smoke alarm going off at the Days Inn AT 8 a.m. Saturday. Fire Chief Dave Lewton said a patron set off a room alarm by burning a bagel.

- The fire department responded to a general fire alarm at the Fleming House on Rose Drive at 9:37 a.m. Saturday. A smoke alarm had been activated when an electrical cord being run across a stove turned a stove dial on, activating a burner and burning the cord.
