Blood pressure checks offered
LEETONIA - The Salem Area Visiting Nurse Association will offer free blood pressure, oxygen saturation and pulse readings from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Leetonia Community Public Library.
Lisbon Chorus rehearsal set
LISBON - The Lisbon Community Chorus will begin rehearsing at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Methodist Church for its upcoming concerts. Any music from previous concerts is to be turned in.
Food distribution planned
SALEM - A Second Harvest Food Bank food distribution will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, 15096 W. Middletown Road. Those attending are asked to bring containers.
Rummage sale set Friday, Saturday
SALEM - Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary is hosting a giant rummage/tent sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on the outside grounds at their location at 1859 Depot Road. Alchemy Acres is currently accepting donations for the rummage sale at their facility. All donations are welcome; however, the sale does not include clothing. Breakfast offered in North Benton

Salem 1963 noted at concert
SALEM - The Salem High School Class of 1963 will be recognized during the 2013 summer concert series on Sunday at the Orashan Memorial Civic Center Band Shell at Waterworth Memorial Park. The public is invited from 6 to 8 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Shout! band featuring "The Legends of Soul."
