Columbiana man sentenced for drug trafficking, theft

LISBON - Cody W. Harmon, 24, South Main Street, Columbiana, was sentenced in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to an indefinite term in the Eastern Ohio Correction Center for trafficking in drugs, misuse of a credit card and two counts of theft.

According to court documents he had a jar of marijuana packaged for resale on Nov. 14, 2012, as well as prescription drugs taken from Anthony Altomare's vehicle on Oct. 16, 2012. Additionally, Harmon had a debit card belonging to Donna Sorrel between April 15, 2012 and May 8, 2012, which he used to make unauthorized transfers of $1,212, attempted another $1,807 in transfers and made a purchase for $37.45.

Sean E. Johnson, Park Avenue, East Palestine, had his probation revoked and was sentenced to an indefinite term at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center for breaking and entering and theft. Johnson had trespassed into the unoccupied garage of Adam and Amy Sienerth, West Martin Street, East Palestine, and took two dirt bikes and a four-wheeler on May 12, 2011.

John W. McBride, 48, Twinsburg, was sentenced to nine months in the Columbiana County Jail and 60 days in prison for OVI. Additionally, he was fined $1,350 and had his license suspended for five years.
