Accident involves two cars, two motorcycles

Emergency personnel tend to the driver and front seat passenger in a vehicle involved in a two-car, two-motorcycle crash at the intersection of Pine Lake Road and state Route 45 Sunday evening which left five injured, included one person who was transported by helicopter from the scene. An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper from the Canfield Post said it appeared this vehicle was southbound on state Route 45 and struck the rear of another southbound car which was stopped to turn east on Pine Lake Road, forcing the other car left of center into the path of two northbound motorcycles. The injured included two from this vehicle, one from the other car and two from the motorcycles. On-scene personnel included Perry Township Fire and Police, Green Township Fire and EMS, Goshen Township Police, KLG and EMT and STAT MedEvac. Charges are pending.
