SALEM - Marilyn M. McElroy, 77, of Salem, died at 6:20 a.m. at the Hospice House in Poland.
She was born Sept. 4, 1935 in East Liverpool, a daughter of the late Charles and Edna Irene (Willhelm) Griffith.
She was a senior aide in the government program with low income for seniors, for 12 years, retiring in 1998. She was a 1953 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
Survivors include her two sons, Terry (Karen) McElroy of Leetonia and Rick (Cheryl) McElroy of Salem; a sister, Peggy Erwin of East Liverpool; three brothers, John Griffith of Erie, Pa., William Griffith of North Carolina, and Robert Griffith of Morgantown, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Private services will be held. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home.
