Christian Wuthrick reunion set

DAMASCUS- The descendants of Christian Wuthrick are invited to a carry-in picnic lunch at 1 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Damascus Community Center Park. The John Wuthrick Family will be on the table committee this year. Bring family memories to share, memorabilia to show and eight gag items to trade with relatives.

Bricker-Long reunion planned

GREENFORD- The 96th Bricker and Long Reunion is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at Coy Memorial Park on state Route 165. Bring a covered dish or two and table service. Officers for 2013 Buddy Bricker, president; Brent McLemore, vice president; Debbie Slagle, secretary/treasurer; Bruce Rhodes Jr. Family, table committee.

CABPW installs 2013-2014 officers

Columbiana Area Business and Professional Women recently elected officers for the 2013-14 year. The officers were installed at the June meeting at the Salem Golf Club by Phyllis Riccadonna, Ohio BPW president, and include Holly Baker, secretary; Sandy Webber, treasurer; Jenny Pike, president; Monica Robb, first vice president; and Susan Frenger, second vice president. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of most months at various meeting sites. The location and time is always announced and published in advance. Membership is open. Cost is $43 per year. SCC hosting another L.A.P.S. session

SALEM- The Salem Community Center is announcing another session of L.A.P.S. (Learning to Accelerate your Potential for Swimming).

The primary purpose of L.A.P.S. is to bridge the gap between swim lessons and competitive swimming strokes with an emphasis on promoting wellness and fitness through the sport of swimming. Participants can look forward to building aerobic capacity and muscular endurance, improving strokes and fitness levels, building competitive skills, individualized goals based on skill level and friendly competition through optional time trials. Three age groups are available: Tiger Sharks (7 to 12), Great Whites (13 to 19), and adults.

L.A.P.S. will run Sept. 9 through Dec. 19 with two sessions a week. Tiger Sharks will practice from 5 to 6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Great Whites from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and adults from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Survivor's of Suicide support group set

LISBON- Help Hotline Crisis Center's support group of the Survivors of Suicide, in Columbiana County, will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Columbiana County Counseling Center on state Route 154. It is a support group for families who have lost a loved one to suicide. For information call Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc. at 330-424-7767.

Former Bank One workers to meet
