LISBON - A Sept. 5 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Alvin W. Carnes, 29, West Washington Street, Lisbon, charged with burglary, resisting arrest and public indecency. According to court documents, Carnes went into a South Lincoln Avenue home on Monday, while wearing only a T-shirt and without being invited in. He then left the house and fled across the bridge on state Route 164 before being tased. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

A pretrial was set for Aug. 29 for Shawn M. Cunningham, 25, 14th Street, Wellsville, charged with theft and obstructing official business after Wellsville police chased him on foot on Aug. 15 after someone accused him of stealing a radio from a vehicle near the Crystal Lounge. Cunningham also had been charged with a felony possession of a controlled substance for allegedly having prescription drugs in his possession when he was caught, but the charge was dismissed on a motion of the prosecutor. Court documents state Cunningham had to be tased twice before he complied. He was reportedly found carrying a GPS unit also.

Ashley D. Bable, 26, Front Street, Negley, was sentenced to 178 days in previously sentenced jail time after she was found in violation of her probation. She was on probation for a theft conviction due to items shoplifted from Circle K in East Palestine in October 2009.

Glen L. McMillin Jr., 34, state Route 7, Rogers, was fined $850, had his license suspended for 180 days and sentenced to four days in jail for possession of drug abuse instrument (two syringes and a spoon), a stop sign violation and OVI first offense amended from OVI second offense.

A group of people found on the roof of the Hunt Club Lanes by Salem police on Saturday along with numerous full and empty beer cans appeared in court on Tuesday. The group appearing were Zachary Wright, 24, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem; Nicole L. Schnarrenberger, 22, Duquesne Street, Columbiana; Kayla M. Brian, 22, West Park Avenue, Columbiana; and Anthony W. Ardeno, 27, Cedar Street, Salem. Each was fined $100 and required 20 hours community service for criminal trespassing.

John Robert Mohr, 28, West Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $300 and sentenced to 10 days in jail for driving under OVI suspension and marked lanes.

Lorraine A. Utter, East State Street, Salem, was fined $250 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension and expired registration.

Vaughn L. Caul, 35, Pine Hill, N.J., was fined $150 for obstructed license plate amended from driving off a state route.

Robert Cochran Jr., 24, St. Jacobs Logtown Road, Lisbon, was fined $100 for no license and speeding.

A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Rafael Colon, 37, Carey Road, Salem, cited with criminal trespassing for reportedly being found walking in his neighbors woods in his bare feet and wearing only his underwear. Additionally, a pretrial was set for a previous disorderly conduct charge for allegedly driving recklessly in his yard, using profane language and being intoxicated on June 14.

A Sept. 30 pretrial was set for Matthew E. Berger, 36, King Road, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, operating an all-purpose vehicle without the proper lights and lane violations after he reportedly was stopped driving an ATV in the middle of Winona Road.

An Oct. 1 pretrial was set for Bryan D. Holloway, 24, West Ely Street, Alliance, charged with OVI first offense.

An Oct. 3 pretrial was set for Christopher L. Miller, 35, Freeman Road, Lisbon, charged with driving under FRA suspension and obstructing official business for allegedly providing Perry Township police with a false social security number during a traffic stop on Aug. 20.

An Oct. 7 pretrial was set for Joseph M. Smith, 27, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, cited with drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a spoon commonly used for abusing heroin in his possession on Aug. 11.

An Oct. 15 pretrial was set for Marsha R. Fletcher, 46, Canterbury Court, Columbiana, cited with improper passing for allegedly going around a Robert Bycroft school bus by crossing over a double yellow line on U.S. Route 30 on Aug. 20.

An Oct. 17 pretrial was set for Pearl M. Kaufman, 69, Butler Grange Road, Salem, cited with failure to control.

An Oct. 22 pretrial was set for Michael L. Wartman, 35, Paris, Ohio, cited with driving without a valid license, speeding and a seat belt violation.

An Oct. 30 pretrial was set for Sabrina M. Robinson, 32, Akron, was cited with obstructing official business for allegedly giving police a false age and social security number on Saturday.
