September 1, 2013
Salem News

The Siembida and Boggs Philanthropic Foundation donated $400 in Home Depot gift cards to husband and wife Army veterans Phillip and Kim Floyd. Phillip served as infantry/combat engineer during the Vietnam war (1969-1971) and received the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars. Kim served as military police from 1987-1989 and was stationed at Fort Myer, Va. During Phillip's tour in Vietnam he was injured from a mortar attack and is currently in need of a wheelchair/service ramp. The donation of gift cards is to help with the purchasing of necessary materials for the ramp. (Submitted photo)
