An unhappy Browns Backer

To the editor:

Cleveland Browns. Demolishing teams and trading top draft picks since 1999. But hey...were rebuilding. Nineteen QB's since 1999. Where do I sign up? I might have a chance to be #20.

I pity the rest of the team that has to suffer through more ineptitude. I'm so sorry for those players. Management is rotting the team more than I thought possible. I would love to see all the remaining players ask to be traded.

Imagine the scene in "Rudy" where all the players were putting their jerseys on the desk asking for Rudy to play in their place. I'd like them all to go up to the owners' office with their jerseys. Place them on the desk and ask to be traded. No chanting Ru-dy, Ru-dy... It should be Trade Me, Trade Me, Trade Me.

This Mile High Browns Backer may have to switch allegiances. Always been a Peyton Manning fan. Why not cheer for the rest of the team?

Observations on United Local

To the editor:

In 2012 United Local hired a new superintendent for much more money than any of the previous superintendents. United has had some really good ones and that includes Mrs. Rinto the last one.

If United needs the money they claim they do, why are they closing down two class rooms and making offices for the superintendent, his secretary and the treasurer? It was my understanding they needed more classrooms. I also found out they put a special air conditioner in for those two rooms, and they already have offices.

I went to the board meeting on Sept. 18 and what I saw was a fantastic looking school inside and the outside looks good too. Give our teachers and the workers a raise and quit blowing our money school board.

Not a big fan of Obamacare

To the editor:

Our Congress is being held hostage. Hostage you say? How? Why? By whom? Our president continues to threaten - how many times has it been now? The imminent shut down of our government if the Republican Congress, it is also composed of Democrats and Independents, Mr. President, continues to remain responsive to "We the people."

I have been following information about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act which the media coined Obamacare, since it was railroaded through Congress in 2009. There are two very important facts to remember about this law. First, the bill was never read nor discussed in its finished entirety by Congress before Congress voted on it. This is not a lie! Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's infamous quote, " We will have to pass the bill so we can find out what is in it" attests to this.

Secondly, the Supreme Court also admittedly did not read it before ruling on it. To mandate that all citizens must buy a product is not a power given to the federal government by the U. S. Constitution and therefore by the U. S. Constitution's 10th amendment, "it is reserved to the states respectively or to the people." The majority of we the people are finding out what is in the law and are telling our representatives to defund/repeal Obamacare!

There are over 60 lawsuits pending against this law. The Senate and House of Representatives are exempting themselves from this law. The above are all excellent reasons why the Continuing Resolution to fund the operation of the federal government should prohibit spending any federal money, mandatory or discretionary on Obamacare.

Congress is not triggering "economic chaos" as has been declared by an obdurate president but is responding to the will of we the people and by so doing continues to uphold "our certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
