LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Tuesday, Charles W. Francis, South Avenue, North Lima, was fined $925, had his license suspended for six months, sentenced to three days in jail and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and driving under OVI suspension. A turn signal violation was dismissed.
William R. Brown II, 54, Franklin Avenue, Salem, was fined $925, had his license suspended for 12 months, was required 40 hours community service and sentenced to 10 days in jail for OVI second offense and driving under suspension. A lane violation citation was dismissed.
Travis S. Rhodes, 22, South Market Street, East Palestine, was sentenced to 11 additional days in jail with credit for nine days already served and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of valium and assault for punching Angela Tondo in the face, breaking her nose on Sept. 14.
Jeffrey P. Harrison, 29, West Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $400 and required 40 hours community service for unauthorized plate and driving under suspension.
Heather M. Leaf, 36, Knox School Road, Homeworth, was fined $200 and required 30 hours community service for hit skip and lane violations.
Franklin C. Skelton, 50, Canton, was fined $200 for child restraint and no license amended from driving under suspension. A stop sign violation was dismissed.
Laura C. Blake, 46, North Lundy Avenue, Salem, was fined $150, required 30 hours of community service and sentenced to three days in jail for two counts of theft. Court documents state one was for climbing onto the counter and taking nearly $290 from the cash register at Cashland in Salem on July 26. Another was for placing merchandise into a Walmart bag while in the Salem store and returning it for $200 on Oct. 2. She was additionally charged with a third theft charge for doing the same thing in Walmart on March 9, 2013, returning the items for $115. One of the counts of theft was dismissed. She was ordered to make restitution to the stores also.
Mark A. Conroy, 44, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $150 and had his license suspended for six months for possessing a baggie of marijuana.
James Hill Jr., 36, 18th Street Heights, Wellsville, was fined $150 and credited with two days in jail for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for punching his wife in the mouth on Aug. 17.
Ryan Dalrymple, 19, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, was fined $150 for speeding.
