Grand jury issues indictments

LISBON - The Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury issued nine open indictments this week.

Jessica M. Jewell, 30, Poland, is charged with a first-degree felony aggravated burglary. According to court documents, Jewell went into the home of Joe DaLonzo, Commerce Street, Wellsville, while she had a knife in her possession. She was reportedly found in the basement of the home on Sept. 13.

Rebecca P. Watkins, 34, Eley Street, Alliance, is charged with theft, a fourth-degree felony. According to court documents, Watkins allegedly took 28 Hydrocodone pills belonging to the Salem Circle Care Center on June 16.

John W. Burke, 54, West Spruce Street, Lisbon, is charged with OVI, a third-degree felony. According to court documents, on June 22 he was driving while under the influence of either alcohol, drugs or a combination of both. Additionally, Burke reportedly has a previous fourth-degree felony OVI conviction in Mahoning county in 1997.

Dirk S. Weston, 50, state Route 164, Lisbon, is charged with burglary, a second-degree felony. Court documents allege on Sept. 5, Weston trespassed into the home of Richard and Helen Chapman, state Route 45, Lisbon.

Ryan W. Virden, 25, Spillway Road, Lisbon, is charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, for allegedly harming or attempting to harm Levi Pollock on Aug. 10.

John P. Dunlap Jr., 29, Ninth Street, Wellsville, is charged with having weapons while under a disability and two counts of possession of drugs with a forfeiture specification. According to court documents, on Sept. 11 Dunlap is accused of having between 20 to 100 grams of cocaine, a first-degree felony; 214 Oxycodone tablets, a second degree felony; $2,509 in cash believed to have been used in the commission of drug-related offenses; and a 40-caliber semi automatic handgun when he has a previous 2003 robbery conviction which precludes him from carrying firearms.

Stefan L. White, 30, Ninth Street, Wellsville, is charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, along with a forfeiture specification. On Sept. 11 White reportedly had less than five grams of cocaine in his possession and $2,509 believed to have been used in the commission of a drug-related offense.

Rodger L. Haney II, 34, Church Alley, East Liverpool, is charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. According to court documents, Haney allegedly on Sept. 16 had a motor vehicle in his possession, which had been obtained through a theft.

Cletus R. C. Monroy, 30, Rose Avenue, Salem, is charged with burglary, a third-degree felony, for allegedly going into the home of Jessica Hazel, East Third Street, Salem, without her permission on Sept. 13.
