Myron L. “Lloyd” Kale

BERLIN?CENTER -?Services celebrating the life of Lloyd Kale, 78, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Moriah Church in Berlin Center.

Lloyd was born Sept. 11, 1935 in Berlin Center, the son of Clyde Burton Kale and Martha Pearl (Jenkins) Kale and was a lifelong area resident.

Lloyd was an active member of Mt. Moriah Church where he had served on many boards and committees. He retired in 2000 from Lincoln Machine in Salem where he had been a machine operator. He was very active and supporter of Gleaner Food Bank of Youngstown and graduated from Berlin Center School.

Lloyd was an outdoorsman loving to fish, hunt and was a woodworker. He made many things from wood for people especially his grand children and great grandchildren. He loved baseball and was one of the organizers of Berlin Center Hot Stove Baseball. He coached many teams for many years in Berlin Center.

His greatest legacy was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved his family.

He will be sadly missed by his children, William (Debbie) Kale of Salem, Donna (Richard) Allision of North Jackson, Mary (Mark) Geisler of Canfield, Larry (Elizabeth) Kale of North Jackson, 10 grandchildren & 9 great t\grandchildren. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte R. (Hovis) Kale whom he married Dec. 31, 1955 and who died Aug. 2, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the church memorial fund or Gleaners Food Bank in Lloyd's name.
