BUTLER TOWNSHIP - Columbiana County Sheriff Ray Stone expects to learn the identity and cause of death today for man whose body was found at 2 p.m. Saturday in Butler Township on an oil well access road in the 31000 block of Hartley Road.

Stone said the body was found about a quarter mile back from Hartley Road on the access road.

The coroner took control of the body and Stone is awaiting the results of the autopsy which is being conducted in another county.

"There's not really anything new. We're still waiting for the coroner," he said Sunday.

The Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation is working on the case and the Columbiana County Homicide Task Force was called out.

There were about a dozen investigators on the scene Saturday.
