- John Staufenger, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, reported at 8:12 p.m. Sunday it appeared someone tried to break into a building he owns on state Route 45, Salem. A window was broken, but it did not appear anyone got inside.

- Joe Warneke, Verizon Wireless, reported on Oct. 16 that sometime between Oct. 1 and then someone entered a fenced in area on Freeman Road in Center Township. They took copper ground bar and wires. Replacement cost is estimated at more than $1,500.

- Ron Parsons, state Route 172, Lisbon, reported on Oct. 22 that on Oct. 18 an unknown man came to his business and argued with him about a rental sign the man claimed was blocking the roadway view as drivers pulled from the parking lot of the business.
