Apple Dumpling Night set in Negley

NEGLEY - All-you-can-eat Apple Dumpling Night will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Negley Masonic Lodge, 50873 Richardson Ave. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Carryouts are available.

Tri-County Opry performs Saturday

MINERVA - The Tri-County Opry featuring the house band Hot Cargo will perform on stage at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Roxy Theater, 114 N. Market St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $7 for 10 and older. Special guests include Emmalee Carver, Steve Orin, Jason Mikes and Donna Kandel, Kenny Mudrick and the East Canton Barbers (also known as the Raines sisters). Light refreshments will be available. Breakfast offered at Hunting Club

SALEM - The Salem Hunting Club's monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The menu includes eggs, pancakes, bacon, potatoes, toast, orange juice, coffee and tea. The trap range will be open from 9 a.m. to noon.

Banquet features Swedish meatballs

SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. Next week's sponsor is the Columbiana First Presbyterian Church. The menu offers Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, baked corn, cole slaw, fresh fruits and vegetables and ice cream. Additional sponsors are needed. SALEM - The Cleveland Sight Center's Traveling Store is visiting Sterling House at 1916 S. Lincoln Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 7 featuring products representing four main categories: magnifiers, large print items, talking products and lighting. Other products will also be available. Remove flowers at Cemetery

SALEM - All flowers and decorations at Woodsdale Cemetery must be removed by Nov. 8 or they will be discarded. Fall and winter decorations may be placed on the graves beginning Nov. 16.

Night at Races to aid Beaver Local

LISBON - Beaver Local High School's Alumni Association is sponsoring its Night at the Races at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at the East Liverpool Motor Lodge. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free to the event which includes a Chinese auction.

Animal show set at St. Paul School

SALEM - The Salem Public Library is hosting Outback Ray's Amazing Animal Show, featuring 15 different exotic animals, at noon Nov. 9 at St. Paul School. Registration is required beginning Nov. 1 for this free event at, in person or 330-332-0042 option 3.

Veterans Day service in Lisbon

LISBON - A Veterans Day community service begins at 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at the First Christian Church, 225 E. Washington St. The featured speaker is U.S. Navy veteran Rob Wilson. Celiac Disease seminar offered

DAMASCUS - A free community seminar titled "What is Celiac Disease?" presented by Zev Maycon, MD and Dawn French, ACNP, begins at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Canyon View Room at Damascus Friends Church, 28857 Walnut St. Light refreshments will be provided.

The seminar is presented in collaboration with Damascus Friends Church Health Ministries, Alliance Community Hospital, Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Salem Community Hospital and Senior Independence Hospice.

Veterans Day Assembly planned

SALINEVILLE - Southern Local High School will host its annual Veterans Day Assembly and breakfast on Nov. 11. Breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. and followed by the assembly at 9:30 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Paper shredding set at Salem Library

SALEM - A residential paper shredding provided by Protect-n-Shred of Cortland is available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 16 in the parking lot at the Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St. There is no cost to participate. Do not bring plastic, cardboard or newspapers to be shredded. Registration is not required. For more information call 330-332-0042.
