FRANKLIN SQUARE - Salem Township trustees approved a resolution approving a $560 purchase order by Fiscal Officer Cathy Wilms for office supplies on Wednesday.

She purchased envelopes and ink cartridges with the money.

Trustees also approved a road use maintenance agreement (RUMA) for the Teegarden gathering line that has underbores at Vincent and Winona roads in the Salem Township.

In correspondence, the township received a QuickClear training information notice from the Ohio Department of Transportation for road incident responder safety that was passed on to Constable Dan Valentine.

In other correspondence, the state auditor offered a one-year computer hardware holiday with $600 in annual savings for 2014 on the township's computer system.

Also, the county department of development requested a report on the demolition of the house at 34951 Golf Club Drive and Trustee Chairman Ray Heddleson, who managed the project for the township, said he took photos and had not seen any snakes on the property.

Also county commissioners are holding a meeting at 6 p.m. on Nov. 6 regarding rural Internet service in the EMA office; and an aggregate price list of products from V&M Star in Girard was forwarded to Road Supervisor Jason Entrikin.

Trustees rescheduled the second meeting in November to 9 a.m. Nov. 26 and the second meeting in December was canceled since it falls on Christmas day.

The re-organizational meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 31.
