LISBON - An East Liverpool man accused of causing serious harm to a 5-month-old child on Aug. 4, was served a secret indictment Thursday. Christian M. Byers, 20, Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool, is charged with endangering children, a second-degree felony.

In another case, Kimberly A. Beatty, 22, Independence Square, Wellsville, was served a secret indictment for charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of drugs with a forfeiture specification. According to court documents, Beatty had marijuana intended for resale, heroin and $35 intended to be used in the commission of a drug-related offense.

Both indictments were issued by the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury in October.

Another secret indictment issued by the grand jury in 2012 charges Jill M. Gilbert, 37, Y&O Road, East Liverpool, with an illegal processing of drug documents. Gilbert is accused of possessing a forged prescription for Vicodin on March 28, 2012.
