EAST PALESTINE - Donald E. Felger Jr., 64, of East Martin Street, died of cancer on Nov. 13 at his residence.

Born Dec. 6, 1948, in Salem, he was the son of Susan Stallsmith Felger and the late Donald E. Felger Sr.

Mr. Felger served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years. He had retired as a senior chief petty officer, and had served in the Vietnam War. He had been employed with the former Mellinger's Nursery and Sardello's in Darlington, Pa. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

In addition to his mother of East Palestine, he leaves his wife, the former Nancy Burdick, whom he married Sept. 18, 1971; two daughters, Kelly Felger (Pam Hough) of Salem and Donna Felger at home; three brothers, Jim (Colleen) Felger, Kim (Sherry) Felger of East Palestine and Russ (Tiffany) Felger of Leetonia, and several brothers in Michigan and Florida.

A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home and Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, with the Rev. Thomas Ziegler, officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
